That’s right I have my own message board! My friend Dez and I joined together and created our own laid back message board. We were tired of a few of our regular hang outs, and wanted to have more control in the upkeep and maintenance of the whole thing. Thus DaydreamzMB was born!
We are also holding our first contest. The more referrals you get the better chance you have of winning the $20 Paypal prize! Contest closes February 28, 2010.
What are you waiting for, come and join us! Right now it is nothing special, but with your help it will become a unique place to be. If you do join be sure to tell them that I sent ya!
As I am sure all of you know about the devastation that has effected Hait due to a massive 7.0 earthquake that happened last week. The country is currently in shambles and with the magic and simplicity of the Internet the devastation is in our face like never before. The ease of updates through social media, as well as how fast pictures and stories are emailed to major world news outlets. All of this has me thinking about what I can do to help.
Below are trusted Canadian Charities known to do work in Haiti:
S.O.S. Children`s Village is the largest charity dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children with nearly 500 villages in 132 countries worldwide. They currently have two SOS Children’s Villages in Haiti (one of them just km away from the capital city of Port-au-Prince) – DONATE NOW (SOS-USA)
The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and everyday in 400 communities across Canada and 117 countries around the world. – DONATE NOW
There is also the ability to donate using your cell phone: (Canada Only)
If you text the message “Haiti” to 45678, you will contribute $5 to the Salvation Army’s relief effort.
Rogers and Fido customers can also donate by sending the text message “HELP” to 1291. Rogers said 100 per cent of the donations will be provided to Haitian relief organizations.
Happy New Year! It’s a brand new year and you know what that means! New Years Resolutions! What are yours for 2010? I am currently going over my 101 in 1001 list, as well as I have already resolved to be neater and more organized.
Over the New Years Eve, my boyfriend and I drove up to the Cariboo Region of B.C. to spend time away from the city with our friends. It was a nice trip away, though not long enough. We did some ice skating on the lake, as well as my favourite Snowmobiling! It is always a fun time out on the frozen lake! The only negative part about the whole trip was the fact that the heater was broken in the cabin we were staying at, so at night it would be come below zero. At least I knew this before heading up there and I supplied myself with the best damn baselayer a girl could find!
I have included a video from our drive home, as we had a moose run infront of our truck and I managed to grab some video using my brand new Kodak Zx1.
