There are only three more days until the biggest party to happen that I’m not invited to. What am I talking about? Well the Winter Olympics are coming to town!

The whole city is a buzz with Olympic spirit, main and major city streets are closed, tourists are everywhere, buildings have major upgrades and new paint, it is going to be completely insane around here for the next three weeks. I am really looking forward to all this excitement, as it is a once in a lifetime event.

The Olympic Torch relay is coming to my area of the city today, though I will be at work when it happens. I did get the Green Light from main office to be able to take a group of children to the nearby main street to watch it go past. I have my camera charged and ready to go! I really hope I don’t miss it, or end up being to early. I dont want to be waiting to long with the children, as it is around pick up time for them.

Though I do plan on dashing away after work to meet up with my mom, aunt & uncle plus a few of their friends as it turns out that my aunt & uncles good neighbour friend (who I know as well) is an official torch-bearer. I can’t wait to cheer her on!

I just wish I had some time off during the Olympics just to be able to experience the downtown area during this time. As I never was able to obtain any tickets to the events. If anyone has any tickets available they would like to give me, I will gladly accept them!
